MORNING SESSION

Children begin attending between 2 and 5 mornings a week. Parents are encouraged to stay as their child settles into the programme. Parents are then welcome to parent help during their child's session at any time.

The morning session includes a half hour extension group for 12 children to further encourage extension work and encourage children to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for the needs and well being of the group. This includes being involved in group decisions and participating in mathematics, science, puzzles, sharing of news and special art activities.

There are two mat times throughout the morning where stories, games, music and movement and participation is encouraged.
